5 kitchen faves that save me time + money 🙌

Hii happy Friday!

Last weekend, Shane and I took our last trip before Poppy gets here 🥹 and now that we’re home, I am officially back in FULL nesting mode.

I’ve been organizing everything, cleaning everything, and doing as much as I can now to make life a little easier once baby is here. And yes, that includes stocking the freezer because future me is definitely going to appreciate having dinner ready to go.

So this week’s Friday Faves are all about the little things making my life easier in the kitchen right now. Things that save time, cut down on waste, and make all this meal prep a whole lot easier.

✨ Kitchen Life Savers

  • Souper Cubes - I’ve been in full freezer meal prep mode before Poppy gets here, and these make it SO easy to freeze individual portions for later. I can make a big batch now, freeze it in perfectly portioned servings, and pull out exactly what we need when neither of us feels like cooking.
  • Reusable Silicone Bags - I’ve been doing lots of freezer prep before Poppy gets here, and these have been SO handy. I can portion things out, toss them in the freezer, wash the bags when we’re done, and use them all over again. One less thing to constantly rebuy + one less pile of plastic bags in my kitchen.
  • Oil Sprayer - If you use your air fryer all the time like I do, this is SUCH a good one. I can refill it with whatever oil I already have and get a nice even spray without using way more than I need.
    • Put it to use: I grab this anytime I need an even coat of olive oil, especially for air fryer recipes and sheet pan meals. My Baked Chicken Cutlets are a perfect example!
  • Scrub Pads - I swear I'm cleaning my kitchen 50 times a day in this nesting phase. This makes getting stuck-on food and messes off SO much easier, and the best part is that you can wash it and keep reusing it instead of constantly buying new sponges.
  • Produce Saver Containers - Nothing makes me more annoyed than buying produce only to find it sad and wilted in the fridge a few days later. These help keep fruits and veggies fresh longer, which means less food going in the trash and fewer last min trips to the grocery store.
