Soup Season Essentials 🥣

Happy Friday!!!
I spent this week testing lots of delicious recipes for fall, and I’m so excited for you to get your hands on them soon! If you have any requests or challenges when it comes to holiday cooking, I’d love to hear about them! Just reply to this email.
Last weekend we went home to MD for Shane’s grandfather’s funeral. He lived to 99 (!!) and was such a special man. I’ve never seen so many people come together to celebrate someone in their 90s, which just shows how deeply loved and respected he was in the community. I feel so honored that I got to know him over the years, and I love that Shane had such a kind and accepting role model to grow up with. He always loved looking at my website and my cookbook, and asking me how my business was doing. He was SO impressed by it and loved it when I explained how it all worked to him. And that's why he's got a special place in today's Friday Favs email.
This weekend, we don’t have any plans! And honestly, I’m so excited about it! After a stretch of busy weekends, a couple of days with no schedule sounds perfect. I’m planning to stay cozy, catch up on some reading, and (of course) cook soup. 🍲 Because let’s be real, October = soup season.
Wait but before we go into soup season I HAVE to tell you about one of my favorite jewelry brands that’s having a 24 hour sale! I have this gorgeous pearl bracelet and last night I bought the matching necklace, this chic gold bracelet, and this monogram necklacethat’s been on my wishlist for over a year!
So this week’s Friday Faves are all about Soup Essentials—the cozy tools and kitchenware that make soup season even better. And if you’re looking for inspiration, here are a few of my go-to soup recipes to kick things off:
This ceramic pumpkin tureen is such a charming way to bring a big pot of soup to the table. Made in Portugal from fine stoneware, it’s dishwasher, microwave, and oven-safe (up to 482°F), so it’s both practical and beautiful.
If I could only keep one pot for fall cooking, it would be this Dutch oven. It’s perfect for simmering cozy soups (and braising meats!), and the enameled interior means it never needs seasoning. Best part? It goes straight from oven to table—and looks beautiful doing it!
These silicone Souper Cubes are a total game-changer for soup season. They let you freeze and portion soups, sauces, or leftovers in perfect 1–2 cup servings—so meal prep (and reheating) is super easy. They’re sturdy, oven-safe, and dishwasher-friendly.
How fun are these pumpkin-shaped stoneware bowls? They’re perfect for serving soup (or chili!) in the coziest, most festive way. Each one comes with a lid, and they’re dishwasher-safe—so you get the cute fall vibes without the cleanup stress.
This gorgeous acacia wood cutting board is gentle on knives, stays steady while you chop, and has a deep juice groove to keep counters clean. It’s big enough for serious prep work and also looks beautiful as a serving board.
Want something lighter and easier to tuck away? I just got Material’s MK Free Board as an alternative to my big wood one. It’s plastic-free, dishwasher-safe, and perfect for raw meat or fish. Plus, it takes up less space and you can use my code JORDAN20 for 20% off!
I love pulling out my slow cooker this time of year—it’s perfect for cozy soups, stews, and set-it-and-forget-it dinners. This 6-quart programmable one has a digital timer, a locking lid (great if you’re bringing it to a party), and the stainless steel looks sleek on the counter.
This multifunctional spatula spoon seriously does it all—stirring, scraping, serving—you name it. Made from durable, BPA-free silicone with an acacia wood handle, it’s safe for nonstick cookware and resistant to high heat.
If you’re diving into soup season, you need a good ladle. This one is made from durable, BPA-free silicone with a beautiful acacia wood handle, so it’s safe for nonstick cookware and sturdy enough for everyday use.
✨ Recipe Faves From My Friends
Apple season is here, and I couldn’t resist pulling together a few of my friends’ apple recipes.
